This blog is my journey in education. I am not here to be a teacher or a school staff for life. I am here for true revolution in Education system. It might look an overstatement but my intentions are clear - make a dent or just exit ! Hence the following -
Self Limiting Goal : "If within 24 months of existence of this blog, it is not able to translate beyond words and discussions into something concrete, It must be closed down without any arguments or excuses."
I deeply believe through my experience that a "deep understanding" of the problem is the most important step to solve it. Through this blog I wish to develop this understanding while sharing it with like minded friends and hence spark a creative discussion.
Few things already on my Mind :
- In Google age, schools as we know them will be soon redundant and teachers - almost useless. A wholly new objective for education & schools is to be found out.
- Reforming education system has not helped at all. At best it has been an experiment on poor kids and at worst a life spoiler.
- Old value system, morals and ethics needs to be ruthlessly questioned.
- Education for poor, Universal education, Education for all - is more of a political and social issue - rather than educational issue and hence NOT our primary concern.
- Alternative education and Alternative Schools can provide wealth of insight and wisdom - they must be studied and discussed.
- There is no need to address generally accepted notions for e.g. - Yes, we all agree that education should be more fun. Activity based learning is already an accepted norm in many schools. Focus on practical learning is also slowly being accepted across the sector. Let's not discuss what is already being discussed unless it really adds value.
- Education is not independent of our social, economic, personal and political problems. We need to present an integrated view.
- There have been great educationalists and thinkers - How can we learn from them ?
