!In the name of education, I studied electronics engineering from IPS Academy in Indore- the best part of entire 4 years of engineering was the “Poha” that I used to have everyday for breakfast. Later I completed my masters in communication management and entrepreneurship from Mudra institute at Ahmedabad. The best part of Ahmedabad was to get boozed in a dry state. I’ve changed 4 jobs so far and now finally arrived at my true calling teaching and education. I am co-ordinator of an alternative school in South India, called Arivu. (Click here to visit website)
To me Education is the problem and is the solution of most of the problems that we are facing today. Current education system has proved to be a big failure and there are some obvious flaws in it which most of us prefer to blind to. The harm that current education is doing to Human Consciousness is absolutely irreparable and we need to retreat with immense urgency.
I enjoy dancing, music, adventure travelling and breaking the rules. I like Coldplay, Jazz, Hip hop, Savage Garden, Nickelback, Greenday, Indian Ocean, Rabbi Shergill, Eminem …well actually any kinda good music. I don’t usually read newspapers, hardly watch television but I can still tell you what they will be talking about. I see myself as a seeker of truth and a rebel searching for cause. I like reading philosophy, psychology, non-fiction and non-(deepak chopra, robin sharma). I like writing poems, songs, stories,clicking photographs and making short films.
My family lives in Bhopal (MP, India). Over the years, I’ve become very skeptical of social norms, of corporate intentions, of government interventions and of self satisfying social work. I have also become quite allergic to bullshit from other creatures of my own race and the sad part is – it is the most abundant thing in our world today – perhaps more than all the pollution and chemicals we have infused.
I am working in education because I enjoy teaching, interacting with young kids and I think it is one of the most important thing that defines who we are and how will be our world. Further, It is also one of the least looked after area today.
